Cruisin' The Coast® is the biggest special event in the state of Mississippi. With Waveland at the west end of the coast returning to the Cruisin’ lineup for the first time since 2006, all 12 Mississippi coast cities will host Cruisin’ events. Each venue serves as a self-contained festival, with live music, vendors, special parking for Cruisers, spectator parking, and event merchandise. New this year, Waveland will host an event for the first time since 2006, stretching out the block party nearly from state line to state line.

Welcome to NorCal Car Culture!

Bailey said the core of Cruisin’ The Coast is much the same as its been for 27 years — a combinations of hospitality, food, scenery and events. Crowds and vehicles converge on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in October 2018 for the annual Cruisin' the Coast event. Spectators are welcome to come see the beautiful cars, enjoy the bands, etc. There is no admittance fee for the sites, there is a fee for the Swap Meet. Don Powers, who’s a longtime cruiser from Biloxi showcased his labor of love, as well. He’s the proud owner of a 1957 Ford Ranchero that he bought for his wife.

This year's outdoor showroom is expected to welcome around 250 vendors selling a wide variety of goods that range from car bumpers to jewelry. While the event will welcome a selection of new vendors in 2023, many of the well-known vendors from past years will be showing up again with their quality merchandise.

Cruisin’ The Coast®  Oct. 6-13, 2024

“All my sons and I have built cars together and one day she said why don’t you build me a car,” said Powers. Sunday marked the starting line for the 8-day event with hundreds of automobile enthusiasts gathering at Hardy Court in Gulfport. We want to thank all of our volunteers, sponsors, participating vendors, and you, the car enthusiasts, who have made Cruisin’ The Coast® the success story it is. ▪ Super Saturday Concert — The Blues Brothers Soul Band and “Simply The Best” Tina Turner Tribute Show, live at Hollywood Casino Resort in Bay St. Louis.

Oscar Mayer is sending its Wienermobile to Cruisin’ and several car celebrities will be mingling with fans. It’s the first year for Chris Jacobs, host of Overhaulin’ on Velocity, who will be grand marshal of the Long Beach parade. Many of you like to plan ahead for future events by marking calendars and making room reservations.

Cruisin' the Coast kicks off Sunday across the Mississippi coast. Named the "Best Car Show" by USA Today readers in four of the last five years, the event annually draws tens of thousands of Cruisers and spectators alike. Only Registered Cruisers may drive into and park in the different sites. In your registration packet is your Window ID Card; this is your entry into the site (not the decal). As soon as you get your Window ID Card, place the card in the windshield, on the dash or on the sun visor for the rest of your visit so you can enter as many times as you wish.

Cruisin’ The Coast®  has 12 Host Car Clubs providing over 700 volunteers who help with registering vehicles, directing cars at the venues, giving directions, and welcoming our guests. There are hundreds of behind the scenes and pre-event activities that our volunteers help with all year long. When you see someone in a bright yellow staff shirt – that is a fellow car lover who is donating time to make this a fun event for all. If you get a chance you may want to say thank you to a volunteer during your visit. Cruisin’s longtime executive director Woody Bailey said part of the event immense popularity stems from everything it offers, not just the classic cars.

According to Stone, there are only three movie cars like his in the world that are reproductions of a 1934 Mercedes 540K. Cruisin’ is supported by 12 local car clubs who provide some 700 volunteers for the event each year. Bailey said they are prepared to hit the 10,000 mark this year. By the end of preregistration, there were 8,515 registered Cruisers from 43 states, Canada and Great Britain. The Beach Boys are back at the Beau Rivage and free concerts are Friday and Saturday at Hollywood Casino.

Now in its 27th year, Cruisin’ is one of America’s top car shows, having been voted “Best Car Show” in the U.S. by USA Today readers in four of the last five years (coming in second once). The event not only thousands of registered Cruisers for the weeklong event, but tens of thousands of spectators who turn out to see the vintage cars and enjoy the nostalgia, music and other offerings. As many as 10,000 classic cars of all shapes, sizes and values will descend on the Mississippi coast Oct. 1-8 as Cruisin’ the Coast gets underway Sunday. What to expect; a free to watch event featuring many antique, classic, and hot rod automobiles. GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - America’s biggest block party has returned to South Mississippi for the 27th Cruisin’ the Coast. It’s a time thousands of classic car connoisseurs look forward to each year.
